hi, Molly! Well, it’s palmitic acid–so that’s found in milk, butter, cheese and even meat. I don’t think saturated fat is “bad” per se, just that you need to pay attention to portion size.

Yael I didn’t mean to imply you had no good take away’s. I did read your other posts. I am just sad that anyone had a bad experience at all, even if minor. My experience was so positive and I naively hoped it was for all.

Yael it makes me really sad that you had this experience. I am a “virtual” nobody when it comes to blog fame but I felt abundantly welcomed at WDS.

I went in with the mindset that I would not be starstruck and or expect anything from the “stars” and I found the experience abundantly rich in the non-star connections I made. As for the stars I had no expectations. I had a few really good encounters, a few so so, and only one dis that I attribute to too much recent travel.

I hope your goods outweigh the bads in the end. I think people are just people in the end.

hi, Jake! I’m glad you liked it! I totally hear you. I interview a lot of pro athletes for my job, and they are totally just people. And there’s something about them that’s gotten them to perform at these really high levels; a combination of good genes, skill, dedication and drive. And they are still just people. Mountains are mountains, mountains are not mountains, and all that.

Hi Yael, I wasn’t at WDS, but I have seen(and participated) in this type of behavior. I think we have a tendency to put people on a pedestal so that there is “something special” about them to explain why we haven’t achieved similar levels of success.

Great article, pointing out something we all need to be more aware of. I enjoy your thought-provoking writings and approachable style.
